NDRC AEROFLOW SPORTSMAN SERIES SUMMARY
The NDRC has produced a comprehensive set of racing rules and regulations. Below is a summary of those rules and regulations. The full document can be downloaded here.

CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON
The Aeroflow Sportsman Championship will be contested over all nominated rounds, ending at the nominated Grand Final.
Group 2
- A racer’s Championship Total going into the Grand Final is the sum of their best 4 point scoring rounds from the season.
- Championship Total is capped at 300 points + Bonus points
Group 3
- A racer’s Championship Total going into the Grand Final is the sum of their best 6 point scoring rounds from the season.
- Championship Total is capped at 400 points + Bonus points
BONUS POINTS - ABOVE THE CAP
The following bonus points can be earned during the season and will be added to the racer’s Championship Total once they attempt to qualify at the Grand Final.
- 10 points – Event Win
- 5 points – Event Runner Up
- Qualifying points for Super Comp and Performance Bike: 5pts #1, 4pts #2, 3pts #3, 2pts #4, 1pt #5 qualifier.
Bonus points can be earned from any event during the season, and may not necessarily be from a racer’s best allotted points rounds
Bonus points will be capped at 50 points.
BONUS POINTS – INCLUDED IN THE CAP
These bonus points will be added to a racer’s event point score that goes towards their 6 best rounds.
- 5 points each for setting a ET or MPH record in Group 2
- 50% Travel Bonus from NDRC selected events.
BONUS POINTS – TRAVEL
Travel bonus can only be claimed at one event during the season.
If a racer contests more than one event with Travel Bonus points assigned, the bonus 50% will be automatically applied to the Travel Bonus event the racer scores the most points at.

For the first round of eliminations only, a racer must present and enter the hands of the starter to earn round points.
Racer must present and enter the hands of the starter to earn points for any CSO round.
GRAND FINAL
Racer with the highest point score in their bracket at the conclusion of the Grand Final will be the NDRC National Champion, whether they have attended the event or not.
Qualifying and Record Bonus Points as listed above will be included for Group 2 point scoring at the Grand Final. Bonus Points for Event Win/Runner Up do not apply for the Grand Final for any bracket.
HIGHEST POINT SCORER AWARD
The NDRC have established the Dennis Syrmis Trophy for the Sportsman racer who accumulates the highest points across all events during the season.
This points score will only be comprised of round points earned. Group 2 Record and Qualifying points will not be included in the point score to ensure fairness with Group 3 racers, or any other event Bonus Points.
