The NDRC is Australia’s unified national drag racing championship, with a mission to make drag racing Australia’s favourite motorsport.

The NDRC represents a new era for drag racing in Australia, bringing together BLAHST Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car, the Aeroflow Sportsman Championship, Top Doorslammer, Top Fuel Motorcycle, Pro Alcohol, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Bike and Pro Mod.

From the fastest accelerating vehicles on the planet in BLAHST Top Fuel and XPRO Nitro Funny Car, all the way through to the future stars of the sport, the NDRC is charged with moving the sport one way. Forward.

The Season Three NDRC calendar will feature seven events headlined by the BLAHST Australian Top Fuel Championship, along with another six events featuring XPRO Nitro Funny Car, culminating in an all-in final at the Spring Nationals at Dragway at the Bend in October.

The Aeroflow Sportsman Championship calendar is scheduled to begin in January 2026 and will also conclude at the Spring Nationals in October.

All Group 1 championship finals action will light up your screen live and free on 7plus, while highlights from BLAHST Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car and Group 1 racing will be packaged into a one-hour highlight show after each round.

The NDRC, or National Drag Racing Championship, is an umbrella championship formed to deliver unified championship drag racing in Australia.

The NDRC will be run across 11 events, encompassing the BLAHST Australian Top Fuel Championship, the XPRO Nitro Funny Car Championship, other Group 1 categories and Aeroflow Sportsman Championship racing.

No. The NDRC unites championship drag racing under one management structure for all racers, regardless of sanctioning body or association.

The NDRC replaces historical series names and championships to provide one clear way forward for the sport.

The NDRC is managed by Out There Productions (OTP), the same entity behind the BLAHST Australian Top Fuel Championship.

OTP is the name behind major motor festivals and events including Summernats, Motorex, Motorvation, Rockynats and a host of other major sporting and event promotions.

Key NDRC management figures include Andy Lopez and Nathan Prendergast.

Both ANDRA and IHRA will continue to play a vital role in rules, regulations, insurance and racetrack sanctioning.

The championship will run under the relevant sanctioning body at each track. The NDRC will work with sanctioning bodies to unify technical regulations as required for individual classes.

Sanctioning bodies are not involved in the day-to-day management of the NDRC.

The NDRC will be responsible for prize money across all categories and will work with associations to deliver payments in line with expectations.

All race days from the 7 NDRC Group 1 events will be broadcast live and free on 7plus, produced by Nathan Prendergast and a team of broadcast specialists.

Coverage will include Aeroflow Sportsman racing and will be hosted by experienced drag racing TV talent.

Highlight shows from all major categories will be compiled post-event for 7plus and 7mate.

The traditional Christmas Tree Trophy will be awarded to all winners of NDRC rounds.

Championship trophies will be based on category. For example, BLAHST Top Fuel will race for the Stan Sainty Cup.

The NDRC Aeroflow Sportsman Championship will run a single conference featuring 9 race meetings.

The Aeroflow Sportsman National Grand Final will be held at Spring Nationals at the Dragway at the Bend.

There is an awesome program of racing at great tracks across the country. The points system and racing categories are very similar to what racers have been used to in the ANDRA Series and 400 Thunder Series.

Racing categories in the Aeroflow Sportsman Championship will be run as per the categories outlined in the NDRC rulebook.

Yes. The Aeroflow Sportsman Championship Grand Final is open to all racers.
